Caprese:

This classic dish is a delicious way to enjoy fresh ingredients. Fresh basil is a must-have ingredient, so be sure to buy it fresh rather than purchasing it in a jar. Other ingredients you’ll need to make this delicious salad include olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and pepper. You can also add additional lettuce to make the salad go further. Depending on your taste, you can use fresh basil or use a pre-made blend.

Caesar

A Caesar salad consists of various components, including lettuce, croutons, cheese, anchovies, and Worcestershire sauce. It is sometimes served with grilled chicken, salmon, or trout fillet. A Caesar salad may also have other ingredients, such as grilled chicken breast or prawns. The dressing is typically made with lemon juice, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese and is typically topped with grated Parmesan cheese. The salad may be served as a starter or as an entrée.

Waldorf:

One of the most famous salads, the Waldorf salad, is a mix of vegetables and fruit served over lettuce leaves. The salad has been around for over a century and was first created in the 1890s. Its popularity may be due to its historical origins or its chef’s interpretation.

Ambrosia:

Ambrosia is a classic salad with a delicious blend of sweet and savory flavors. It is easy to make and can be modified to suit dietary needs. Instead of using a traditional sour cream, you can substitute reduced-fat sour cream. For an added kick, add cinnamon or nutmeg. Don’t overmix the salad, as it can become too thick.

Larb:

Larb is a very popular salad. It is typically made with chicken, shrimp, pork, or beef and is seasoned with fish sauce, lime juice, chilis, herbs, and aromatics. It is often served with glutinous rice. This delicious side dish is great for sharing or can be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container for several days. It can be tossed with rice and eaten as a salad or a side dish.
